Book Camp with Janice Hardy

April 5, 2019
10:00 a.m.  -  4:00 p.m.
Janice Hardy

On Friday, before the conference begins, Janice Hardy will teach this all-day Book Camp

Janice’s phenomenally successful Fiction University offers topics such as Planning Your Novel, Understanding Conflict, Understanding Show Don’t Tell and dozens of resources for revisions, dialogue and creating strong characters.

This pre-conference add-on provides valuable tools a writer needs to pull a book together. The intensive workshop explores the following:

Writing a novel can be a daunting process, but a little planning can go a long way to making that process easier. Even pre-determining a few key turning points in the story can keep writers focused, whether they prefer to outline every scene or pick a story direction and write toward it. In this workshop, writers will learn how to create the critical elements of a novel’s plot, how to use goals, conflicts, and stakes to build a story and develop characters, and how to approach a story in a way that will make it easier to write and be more marketable to agents, editors, and readers.

If you’re looking for a jump start to getting your next book written, this is a can’t miss session. Book Camp is also available as a single purchase for those not attending the conference.

An award-winning author of the teen fantasy author and in-demand writing instructor, Janice created Fiction University as a way to pay forward the support and advice she received during her path to publication, and to share her love of writing and passion for helping writers improve their craft.

We are honored that Janice has agreed to come and present knowledge that every author can benefit from, no matter their writing level.
