Location, Location, Location

It’s hard to believe that two years has gone by and the 2017 California Dreamin’ Writers Conference is just a few weeks away. Your committee members are working on all the final details to make this a great conference experience for everyone attending, and many of those details involve the location of the conference. I can tell you that the Embassy Suites’ Hotel staff is happy to see us back and everyone there is doing everything possible to make our event better than ever.

Lori High, Senior Catering Manager and Blake Roderick, Director of Food and Beverage sit down with us this week to go over the final details, including the meals. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to your meals, please be sure to contact us here.

If you can’t book a room at the conference location hotel, the Fullerton Marriott at California State University is just a few minutes away. Their contact information is on the home page of the website here.
Below is a personal message from Lisa Kotlar, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Embassy Suites Hotel in Brea.

Welcome attendees of the 2017 California Dreamin’ Romance Writers’ Conference!

The location of our hotel could not be more conducive for a successful conference. Nestled in the foothills of North Orange County, the Embassy Suites hotel is adjacent to Brea Mall and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.  Whether you joined us two years ago, or this will be your first visit our staff is here to make your stay at our location as warm, welcoming and productive as possible.

And what a difference two years makes! The hotel is completing the final stages of a multi-million dollar renovation. Guests will enjoy our redesigned two room suites, which feature a beautiful blue, grey and orange palette. All attendees will be impressed with the new sophisticated look of the banquet, atrium and public spaces. The new modern design concept focuses on the location of the hotel and highlights the local history of our city and region including nods to the discovery of oil and the many citrus fields which covered this area. Visitors will discover the artwork thorough the hotel is custom fabricated with subtle native motifs. And although not local, the upscale Italian stone and tile give the hotel a fashionable and polished finish.

While you’re here don’t forget to enjoy the pillars of our Embassy Suites brand – all over-night guests receive a full cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception featuring alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages daily.

I look forward to welcoming you to our “new” hotel. We are so happy to be the chosen location for your conference.
